Velvety Hard Sauce
¾ cup | Butter |
¾ cup | Icing sugar |
Choose one flavoring: 2 tbsp Brandy or 1 tsp vanilla or 1 tsp rum | |
2 tsp | Grated lemon rind |
Grated nutmeg for garnish |
Method:
- Cream butter and add sugar gradually, beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add your flavoring of choice.
- Beat again
- Spoon into serving dish , grate nutmeg over top and chill
Serves 10-12
Lemon-Butter Sauce:
¼ cup | Butter |
1 tbsp | Lemon juice |
¼ tsp | Grated lemon rind |
Method:
- Have butter at room temperature
- In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until well blended
- Serve.
